About the ePress® service

What is the ePress® service?

ePress® is a digital publishing platform for newspapers, journals and magazines and a real-time news service featuring digital copies of titles by all the major publishers.

The service is available at over 400 ePress® reading hubs with any device with a browser and an Internet connection, including desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. No need to install apps or plugins.

To read titles available in the ePress® service, you a need reading license. Licenses are provided by the distribution points, or reading hubs, in our ePress® service partner network at customer terminals at their locations, at customers’ devices through a HotSpot connection or remotely with licenses unlocked by the distribution point (such as a library network).

How can I log in to the service and with what login credentials?

To read titles available in the ePress® service, you a need reading license. Licenses are provided by the distribution points, or reading hubs, in our ePress® service partner network at customer terminals at their locations, at customers’ devices through a HotSpot connection or remotely with licenses unlocked by the distribution point (such as a library network).

To use the ePress® service, you need to log in to the service with the credentials or other login methods issued by the reading hub.

You can use the ePress® service through the reading hubs provided by our distribution network. They include libraries, travel and accommodation services, entertainment and recreational centers, lobbies and waiting rooms and other public spaces and operators who want to provide a wide selection of high-quality titles and a real-time news service to their customers.

What is an ePress® HotSpot?

Provided by an ePress® distribution partner to its customers, ePress® HotSpot is a reading hub where the service is available to use with customer’s own device with Wi-Fi connectivity, such as smartphone, tablet or laptop computer.

To use the service, connect to a Wi-Fi network provided by a distribution partner and enjoy unrestricted access to the ePress® service with your device’s Internet browser at www.epress.fi.

Can I read titles in other locations, such as with a remote connection?

Many of our ePress® distribution partners provide their customers with remote reading licenses for the ePress® service. These include library networks and private operators who want to include ePress® reading experiences to the selection of services they provide to their customers.

As an ePress® remote user, you get a reading license to our service when logging in to a service of a distribution point that provides remote reading licenses. The ePress® digital newsstand is then available for you to enjoy at www.epress.fi.

Using the ePress® service

How can I read titles with a public computer at an ePress® reading hub?

It’s easy to use the ePress® service with, for example, a library public computer at a reading hub provided by our distribution partner. Start up the computer, go to www.epress.fi and enjoy our full range of titles.

If you need help using the service, the personnel at the reading hub are happy to help you.

How can I read titles at an ePress® HotSpot distribution point?

The ePress® HotSpot is a reading license to our service provided by our service’s distribution partner through a Wi-Fi connection. Log in with your device to a Wi-Fi network of an operator providing the reading hub to get an automatic reading license to the full range of titles available at ePress®. Just go to www.epress.fi with your browser and enjoy a good read.

If you need help connecting to the distributor’s Wi-Fi network or using the service, the personnel at the reading hub is happy to help you.

How can I read titles as an ePress® remote user?

Many of our ePress® distribution partners provide their customers with remote reading licenses for the ePress® service. These include library networks and private operators who want to include ePress® reading experiences to the selection of services they provide to their customers.

As an ePress® remote user, you get a reading license to our service when logging in to a service of a distribution point that provides remote reading licenses. The ePress® digital newsstand is then available for you to enjoy at www.epress.fi.

If you need help with the remote use of the service, the personnel at our distribution point providing the reading license and our customer service are happy to help you.

How can I use the service with a library card?

The ePress® service is widely available through libraries. And depending on the library, they provide reading licenses to the service at their locations with public computers or through a HotSpot Wi-Fi network, or provide a remote use option. 

When your library makes an ePress® digital newsstand available to you for remote use, you start by logging in to your library’s library network with your library card or other library-provided authentication.  The ePress® digital newsstand is then available for you to enjoy at www.epress.fi.

If you need help with the use of the service, the personnel at the library providing the service to you and our customer service are happy to help you with logging in to the library network and using the ePress® service.

Which titles are available in the service?

ePress® is a digital publishing platform for newspapers, journals and magazines and a real-time news service featuring digital copies of titles by all the major publishers. A growing selection of hundreds of titles is available for easy browsing at www.epress.fi.

In addition to our selection of titles, we offer our customers a real-tie newsfeed from all major news medias on the same platform.

How quickly are new issues available to read?

The ePress® digital newsstand publishes and distributes all titles from all publishers in the service as digital copies at the same time they come off the press. This is true for newspapers, journals and magazines. With the ePress® service, you always get all issues hot off the press.

Do I also get access to older issues?

Yes. In addition to all the latest issues available at the ePress® digital newsstand, we provide a back issue archive. You can easily find back issues in the home view of your chosen periodical.

Can’t find titles that interest you?

The ePress® digital newsstand includes hundreds of newspapers, journals and magazines from the biggest publishers, and our selection keeps growing.

Solutions to issues

I opened the ePress® page but can’t read any content

Using the ePress® service requires a reading license issued at ePress® reading hubs provided by our distribution partners. Please read the help and support material at the reading hub and consult the staff for further assistance.

If you’re using the service at an ePress® HotSpot reading hub, please make sure your device is connected to the Wi-Fi network provided by the distribution point. The service should then be automatically available with your device’s browser.

If you’re using the service remotely, such as through a library network, ensure that you have logged in to the network in question before opening the ePress® website. If you need further assistance, please consult the issuer of the reading license.

There is no ePress® reading hub near me

The ePress® service is distributed through our constantly growing network of distribution partner reading hubs. If there is no reading hub available near you, see if your local library provides a remote access to the service as part of their overall service.

I couldn’t find any titles of interest

The ePress® digital newsstand includes over 200 newspapers, journals and magazines from the biggest publishers, and our selection keeps growing.
